The Game Of Terror

Quick Action by a vigilant Police Officer
minimizes what could have been a
major loss of life.

Just before 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 a pipe bomb exploded at Olympic Centennial Park killing one person and injuring over 100 others attending a Rock concert at the AT&T Global Olympic Village stage. Considering the size of the crowd it could have been much worse. Fortunately, an alert Police Officer spotted a suspicious unattended bag and immediately began pushing the crowd back just moments before the bomb exploded thereby saving numerous lives and grievous injury.

Centennial Park has been the most popular gathering place for Olympic visitors to socialize, shop and trade pins. Because of this senseless cowardly act it is now closed and a Crime scene. Olympic Officials say the park will reopen soon, meanwhile, the Games continue without interruption.

The terrorists have not shattered the Olympic Spirit, only a few panes of glass. CyberWorld Journeys is disgusted by this act of cowardice and agrees with President Clinton that these yellow-bellied thugs should be hunted down and killed. The stupid acts of a few should not be allowed to spoil the experience and enjoyment of the Games by the many.
