Track and Field: 50 KM Walk, Relays & Javelin
The day started out very misty and overcast with a slight
drizzle at 7:30 a.m.
for the start of the 50 kilometer Walk. You know that funny thing they
where the athletes have to keep one foot on the ground at all times and
of waddle back and forth in a very comic way. Well anyway Korzeniowski
of Poland won the thing in just under 3 hours and 45 minutes after having
half way around Atlanta I suppose. More exciting for the fans in the Olympic
were the qualifying heats for the 400 and 1600 meter relays and the qualifying
for the Javelin.
